WITS Day

Our community festival of reading and storytelling made an excellent start in its first year, in spite of the wet start. The committee estimates an attendance of 500.  Adults and children seemed to thoroughly enjoy the entertainment, activities, and displays. They also appeared to appreciate the opportunities to purchase books from local book sellers, hear local celebrities read from their favourite children's books, listen to local storytellers and read books with their children, not to mention enjoy the cake offered by the  
Brantford Public Library to celebrate their 125th Anniversary!

 

Our thanks to the many local groups and individuals who contributed to the day and we look forward to an even more dynamic Word in the Square next year, on October 3rd, 2010.
